My Stand at Newcastle Racecourse on the 9/10 August
I had a stand at Newcastle Race course at the North East Motor Show , it was quite hard work, and i can't believe how much i packed into a 3 door Ford Focus!!
Setting it up was quite a challenge, and so was putting it all away as well!! It was a really good weekend, and there was so much lovely feedback about my Tallulah Ravens Emporium! Also it was the first time that i'd actually seen what all the things i will be selling look like when there displayed.
I still have quite a lot of work to do before i can start setting my shop interior out, so this was just a little taster of things to come. I'm going to get in and start setting things out inside the shop tomorrow, i can't wait to get it finished and i can open!!

My News so far!
When i first started this
new venture, i always thought that i really need a bricks and mortar shop, as
well as my online one! I'm getting so much painted furniture i really need
somewhere to display it and quickly!
Our other
businesses are situated on an acre of land in Brampton , so it made sense to
also have my shop in the same place. We thought about possibly putting another
building up, but it would take so long and be very expensive, then we were
thinking how can we get somewhere that's affordable and is not going to take to
long to set up. Mark came up with a plan to recycle on a very large scale by
using an HGV trailer that had come to the end of its road worthy life.
So that's
what we are doing!! Its not going to be a normal looking shop, and its going to
take us a little time to transform it into Tallulah Ravens Emporium, but its
going to be fantastic!!
We are
using as many recycled things as possible the trailer is 40ft so its going to
be quite big, enough to cram loads of beautiful furniture and accessories in!!
I have some 2nd hand French Door's and i'm on the look out for windows, and we
will make an entrace with stairs and handrails and a decking area. Its starting
to take shape slowly!!

Silves Slaughter Horse
Rescue
Since i
was a little girl aged about 10 when i had my first ride on a
horse, i've been quite obsessed by them ever since. I used to drive my
parents mad ( i have apologised to them!!) as i wanted to join The Pony
Club, and to get my own Pony. We just couldn't afford one, so i made do with
helping my friend Elizabeth with her Pony Shadow, we had some amazing
adventures , we would ride 2 up and fall off together quite frequently as
well!! I had 'No Fear' in those days!!
I would
also go mucking out all weekend at a stable for a 10 minute go on one of there
horses!! It took many years before i was lucky enough to actually own my
own Horse he's called Michael, then i got my beautiful Friesian Mare Tsjerkje
who is the mother of Tallulah Raven our little Filly that died last year, if i
could i would love to have an animal sanctuary one day, so i always like to
support any charities that are trying to raise money to save animals .
I read
about these young horses in Portugal on Facebook, i have a friend Karen who
lives out there and she is involved in trying to rescue and rehome the young
horses in question. I have donated one of my latest Ltd Edition prints
for them to raffle off to raise much needed funds to save the horses.
For a
chance of winning this limited edition print on canvas size 40 x 40cm by Fiona

Unusual Piano Project!!
I've bought a Piano!!
I certainly never thought
i'd be saying that as i'm not the slightest bit musical, but it's now mine, a
bit of an impulse buy!! I had intended to paint it and sell it as a working
Piano, but i was rummaging around inside it to see how it worked , and a bit of
its insides snapped off in my hand, so its now going to be a very unusual and
spectacular Planter!! I'm in the process of taking it to bits, to weather and
water proof it as much as i can before i paint it, then plant it !! its going
to have pride of place outside my shop at Brampton soon.

Welcome to Tallulah Ravens
Emporium
Well this is new for me
i've never ever written anything in a Blog!!!
So i feel
a bit odd and not really sure what to say, exept i hope you like my website,
and the lovely products i have on, and the new products i will be adding over
the next few weeks. And if you have any questions about any part of this site
or products please don't hesitate to ask!
Building
this site , finding the most fabulous suppliers, and now trying to get my SEO
in place has been rather a slow process, but at last its all beginning to come
together.
I've been
really busy and have lots of furniture i've painted to add soon, and also lots
of lovely new accessories. And i also am so pleased to have Cumbrian Sculptor
Kirsty Armstrongs work available for sale on my shop! I have the most
amazing cushions and fabrics coming soon from Voyage Maison. Its all very
exciting!!
We are
moving forward with our plans for a showroom in brampton, so its all systems
go!!!

Welcome to Tallulah Ravens Emporium
I love
your new website & after a sneaky peek at what's to come I can't wait to
see the new shop too. Anyone thinking of getting something truly bespoke need
look no further. I have had custom made pieces off Fiona before & they are
always admired, especially 'Joyce' which is airbrushed art on a high gloss wall
panel above the fireplace in Hairport.
Good luck with your new venture xxx
